Shannon Bowman-Sarkisian is the Outreach Librarian for Turner Free Library in Randolph, MA. She is a champion for equitable and inclusive information access. Shannon received the 2019 Outstanding Staff Award from the Indiana Library Federation for her work developing and implementing the Creating Access for Violence Survivors (CAVS) program at Monroe County Public Library. She has an MLS from Indiana University Bloomington, an MFA in Creative Writing from San Jose State University, and a BFA in Writing for Publication, Performance, and Media from Pratt Institute. Shannon lives in Quincy, MA with her partner Guthrie and their cats Egon and Butters.
